“Football is an Anthropologist’s dream.” - Eli Mengem

For the entirety of my life I’ve been infatuated with sports. However, while my friends and family have long been interested in statistics, highlights, and on-field stories, I’ve spent my life transfixed by stadium architecture, uniform design, and the rather intangible feel of sports.

Pursuing that intangible feeling of sport, and any possible way of turning it into a career, I’ve spent a majority of my life taking any opportunity to become involved in the creative side of sports. What started as hours in front of a multitude of EA Sports titles and their various “Create A Team” modes has evolved into a mixture of self, and formal education related to sports design, and communication.

In 2021 I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in film, concentrating a majority of my work in sports documentary. During that time I spent a majority of my elective classes taking design related courses to bolster my self-taught Adobe Suite skills. I’m currently enrolled at the University of Wisconsin Madison pursuing a MFA in Journalism in order to refine my skills, and explore new ways of combining my passions for both creativity, and sports.
